Carla's Bath
This distinctive bath renovation incorporates the client's own history into an inviting new vision for the space. Originally from Brazil, she was keen on using ipe wood to bring the smell and feel of her youth back into every day.
We redesigned the bath around her signature material—from shelves to cabinetry to flooring—along with complementary stainless steel and translucent panels to make it beautifully functional. The small and dilapidated space was reconfigured for maximum efficiency, so what was once cramped became comfortably open. By blending natural texture with modern simplicity, a 1950's bathroom in suburban Minnesota becomes an oasis of tropical cool.
