Pam's Porch
Our client had a clear ambition for her backyard expansion: beyond a place to hang out and enjoy Minnesota's seasons, she wanted a greenhouse to jumpstart her plants in spring before transferring them to her large vegetable garden.
Our design builds on these functional goals to create a delightful place apart. The house opens onto a cozy perch that beckons you into the garden. Large rolling doors make moving plants easy while giving way to clear, unobstructed views. A transparent roof keeps the space brightly illuminated year round, with a playful structure that provides an instant sense of departure from day to day concerns.
